FAQS
1. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF 4K?
4K Ultra High Definition cameras capture four time the resolution of HD, resulting in a sharper and incredibly beautiful image. If you have a 4K TV, or a retina MacBook, iPad, iPhone, or iMac, your film will take advantage of the increased resolution and look it’s best. This is also a great way to future-proof your wedding film. As screen resolutions increase, your wedding film will continue to look amazing.
2. HOW DO YOU TELL OUR STORY?
The biggest contributor to telling your unique love story as a couple is the dialogue throught the day. Letters to each other that you read aloud, the officiant’s message about how you two met, tearful vows spoken, and joyful toasts shared by close friends and family, all come together with music and visuals in your wedding film in a way that fits you and your relationship perfectly.
3. How long is our video?
Your Highlight film will be between 5-6 minutes. I don't limit the length of your ceremony and reception edits. They include the entirety of those events. They are not condensed versions. I edit the full ceremony between 2-3 cameras and multiple audio sources. The reception covers all main events: (Entrances, Special Dances, Speeches, Cake Cutting, along with the best dancing shots of the night)
4. CAN WE CHOSE THE MUSIC?
Of course! In fact I prefer that since I edit the film to the music. I also allow revisions so you can chose music after the first cut as well.
5. HOW IS OUR VIDEO DELIVERED?
Delivery is all through a custom online webpage, so you can watch it on your computer, tablet, or phone. Plus you can download all the videos onto your device. Final delivery takes up to 90 days.
6. HOW IS THE AUDIO RECORDED?
For the ceremony, I put a small lavalier mic on the groom and officiant. I also plug in to your entertainment company's or venue's soundboard. My audio is just for the video and will not project to the audience. For the reception speeches, I will just plug in to your entertainment company's soundboard. This is how we capture crystal clear audio!
7. AERIAL DRONE RESTRICTIONS
Aerial Drone restrictions apply if the weather is not permitting or the location does not allow Drone flight per FAA regulations.
8. CAN WE HAVE THE RAW FOOTAGE?
Yes. We can supply all the raw footage, and we deliver it via digital download. Footage is organized by parts of the day and color graded.
9. DO YOU HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE?
You bet we do. If your venue requires a certificate of insurance (COI), just let us know and we'll send it over. Also, let us know if we need two add your venue to our policy.
10. DO I NEED A SECOND SHOOTER?
I typically recommend second shooters if your groom and bride prep are not in the same location or if you have more than two photographers.
11. What kind of equipment do you use?
I use some of the newest Sony Camera gear, both bodies and G-Master Lenses. I'm always upgrading to the latest and greatest. That goes for audio gear too!
12. How do you work with our photographer?
Prior to your wedding, we will connect with your photographer to ensure we're all on the same page with the timeline for the big day. We work seamlessly with your photographer to shoot efficiently without being obtrusive. We're team players!
13. DO YOU HAVE BACKUPS?
I always shoot with at least two cameras that both have dual card slots, so every time I record a video clip, it's saved to two separate memory cards incase one fails. Once your wedding is finished, I save all footage to two separate hard drives, and an online cloud backup.
14. HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT?
The deposit is $1,500. I’ll email you a contract and invoice with included payment options. All major credit cards accepted. The remaining balance must be paid the day of your wedding or before. There are no credit card fees, taxes or travel fees 🙂
